The Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO) is a ground-based gamma-ray and cosmic-ray experiment located at an altitude of 4,410 metres above sea level in Daocheng, Sichuan, China. With its successful completion and operation, LHAASO has solidified its position as a leading global facility in the search for cosmic ray origins.
With unprecedented sensitivity, LHAASO has achieved significant scientific breakthroughs in surveying the gamma-ray sky from sub-TeV up to PeV, launching the era of ultra-high-energy gamma astronomy. Additionally, LHAASO enables precise measurements of the spectra of individual species of cosmic rays, composition, and anisotropy in a wide energy range (∼1 TeV to 1 EeV). It is also expected to explore the forefront of new physics. For further details, please visit the LHAASO website.
About the Fellowship
The LHAASO Postdoctoral Fellowships aims to support young researchers and foster excellent studies based on LHAASO data, including, but not limited to, the field of gamma-ray astronomy, cosmic ray physics, multi-messenger astronomy, AI skills for related science study based on LHAASO data.
